Doc DeVore

MDI Achieve is pleased to announce the appointment of Doc DeVore, Vice President, Product Strategy, to the Long-Term Care Strategy (LTCS) Advisory task force assembled by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT).
CCHIT (www.cchit.org) is a private, nonprofit organization that has been recognized by the federal government as an official certification body for health information technology. Its mission is to accelerate the adoption of robust, interoperable health information technology by creating a credible, efficient certification process. The certification requirements are based on widely accepted industry standards and involve the work of hundreds of expert volunteers and input from a variety of stakeholders throughout the health care industry.
The LTCS Advisory Task Force, is composed of volunteers with skilled nursing facility, assisted living, home care, hospice, health information technology and public payer experience, co-chaired by Mark Leavitt, M.D., Ph.D., CCHIT chair, and John Derr, R.Ph., Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Strategic Officer, Golden Living.
This task force will assist the Commission in assessing the current landscape and advising on the appropriate direction and scope of work for the LTCS Work Group. Members will deliver their recommendations to the Commission and the Work Group prior to the initiation of development work scheduled to begin in July 2009 for a certification program launch planned for July 2010.
